What is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?

Rather than relying on brute strength, BJJ empowers practitioners to control and submit opponents using body mechanics, joint locks and chokeholds. It's practiced both in the Gi (kimono) and No-Gi (rashguard/shorts), and is widely recognized for its effectiveness in self-defense, competition, and mixed martial arts.
